I have developed and designed a range of strategic communication products, including infographics, social media campaigns, communication plans, presentations, internal websites, training materials, and other content supporting the Bureau’s web presence and the effective presentation of information to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Social Media Campaigns and Infographics
I developed and managed a variety of strategic social media campaigns aimed at increasing public engagement, promoting awareness of key initiatives, and amplifying organizational messages. Each campaign was tailored to specific audiences across platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
My work included:
• Content Strategy & Planning: Created campaign calendars aligned with communication goals, seasonal themes, and trending topics.
• Visual Content Creation: Designed engaging graphics, infographics, and motion content optimized for each platform and audience.
• Messaging & Copywriting: Crafted clear, concise, and audience-focused messaging that complemented visual content.
• Performance Monitoring: Tracked KPIs such as reach, engagement, and click-through rates, adjusting content strategies accordingly.
• Collaborative Execution: Worked closely with communications, design, and subject matter experts to ensure campaign alignment and accuracy.

Presentations, Training and More
As part of the Digital Services (DS) Team within the USGS Office of Communications and Publishing, I led efforts in strategic communication branding, visual design, presentations, and training materials. I also supported the Director's Office by designing and producing a wide range of high-level communication products, including COVID-19 response presentations, infographics, internal messaging, All-Employee Town Hall graphics, Presidential Transition communications (every four years), and annual Budget Rollout materials.

OCAP Academy Strategic Communications Summit
The Office of Communications and Publishing hosted the first OCAP Academy. OCAP Academy is a 3 day event for the USGS Drupal Web Content Managers, science communications, and anyone interested in communication. We had more than 250 in-person and virtual attendees. I was responsible for designing and production of the following:
1. Campaign graphics
2. Promotion items (water bottle, tote bag, pen, notebook)
3. Branded exhibit banners that were positioned around the entire auditorium highlighting USGS Mission, Vision, Values, and the USGS Unified National External Communications Framework principles.
4. USGS Unified National External Communications Framework one-pager
5. Branded Powerpoint presentation templates for presenters
6. Internal Sharepoint Website for attendees to get connected, get travel information, share photos, access presentations and videos, branded agenda, and more.
7. Save-the-date and other O365 Teams graphics and backgrounds.

I also presented sessions on various topics to include the New Drupal Storytelling Web Components (two sessions) and Communication Planning Part 4 using S.M.A.R.T Analytics and received two USGS "Star Awards" for production of all branded communications listed above and the three presentations conducted during the event.
