2017 Montana Climate Assessment

PRINT / WEB DESIGN + DEVELOPMENT

The newly launched 2017 Montana Climate Assessment is an effort to present the science of climate change at a level that is useful for Montana citizens and local stakeholders. The Montana Institute on Ecosystems, a statewide center based at both Montana State University and the University of Montana, has taken on the responsibility of organizing the MCA. The MCA is the result of two years of effort by university faculty and students, state and federal agency researchers, non-profit organizations, resource managers, and citizens from across Montana.
I was responsible for collecting requirements during an Information Architecture Study with the client, developing production-ready scientific graphics for the printed report, designing the 320-page climate assessment, creating high-fidelity designed wireframes, and developing website design by working closely with the Drupal website developer. Prior to launch, I was responsible for the complete content migration of the printed report into the Drupal CMS.
In addition to the assessment and website, I designed information sheets and a comprehensive social media strategy to promote the assessment and capture user feedback and analytics. We held a press conference to launch on September 20, 2017. Please view the website at http://montanaclimate.org
